On the first day of my class , few topics were discussed by Mr. Wan Burhanuddin


Topic : - Introduction to USM

Mr Wan Burhanuddin explained to us about APEX ( Accelerated Programme for Excellence ) which will bring USM to a higher level and become more excellent. USM's mision is transforming higher education for a sustainable tomorrow. He showed us a graph of Transforming of Status Quo is Not An Option which is prepared by Dato Dzulkifli Abdul Razak (DAR)

The 3 principal of APEX : People , Place , Principle

Topic : - Introduction to RUS 101 ( Integrated Studio 1 )

There is always an intention before an action will be taken. After the action has been taken , product will be produced. The same things happen also , studio production include the involvement of some actors/ actor who has the intention , action is taken followed by the rules and the product will be posted /presented/placed on site.

When it is an APEX production , APEX intention is needed so that APEX action will be taken and APEX product will produced. So does the actor , rule and place, we will need APEX actor/actors , APEX rules and APEX place.

Actors that are involved in APEX production
- students
- studiomaster ( in HBP , there are 15 studiomasters )
- USM community
- Penangites

The 3 principal of APEX : People , Place , Principle
Hence in order to achieve the goal of APEX , we must always remember these 3 principal.

Besides those briefing in USM and RUS 101 , Mr Wan Burhanuddin also invited some lecturers in HBP to give some short briefing to us.

Topic : Assignment

Today we are assigned by Mr. Wan Burhanuddin Wan Abidin for our first assignment. The topic of the assignment title is What I heard. He required us to write down what we learn n heard on our first day class.

Furthermore , students were asked to open a blog in order to post their assignment in the blog. That will be much more easier for the lecturer to check our assignment and it is a total paper saving way too. Students are allow to post their assignment in their own way n design their blog according to their favourite.

Lastly , students will have to send their
