Assignment 2C : The 101 Mask ( TOPENG 101 )

Our assignment for today is to make a mask of our own face. The first mask me make is without the emotion and we have to colour it jus like our own skin colour while the other mask is with emotion but the mask will be in black and white.

After the class , we went to buy material at duriemas.

First attempt trying with clay as the mould but failed

Material that we bought. Everything is used expect the flour.

Then we did some testing on Yim Quan for the second 2nd attempt

We put a layer of transparent wrapper on the face first b4 we start putting tissues , manjong paper and glue on it.

After finishes making the first mask , then me grace and yim quan headed to meet ah boon gan and ah hong somewhere near the library. And we started to continue our mask project again.

Second days , we continue our mask project at dataran merah.


Out of sudden , Mr. Wan Burhanuddin Wan Abidin appeared and everyone was shocked but excited to see him. He commented on our mask and told the the right way to do it.

Hence we decide to try his way
First layer : Baby Oil
Second layer : Wet tissues
Third layer : Glue and tissues


and it was successful!!

Third day , met our lecturer once again and glad that he said our mask look better already. Haha.

Assignment 2B : Man Made Structure

Soon after the class finished , we went to borrow some tools for doing this project. Everyone is waiting and lining up patiently at the workshop. However i was quite pissed off with one malay girl. She cut the queue in a very no manners way. Just cant understand why there are some ppl that cant just queue up and wait for their turn. Everyone is doin that but why cant she do that tooooo?????

Today our assignment is to build a Bamboo Sound Tools and formed a group with different type of Bamboo sound tools. We will be present during the HBP orientation dinner and also during Merdeka.


Ok lets back to the topic now , after taking our tools we headed straight too the pond near aman damai. We were there to saw the bamboo into the shape that we need. And most of us done our project at there too.

Today we were given some assignment which we will be using wordle to do it.

Assignment 2A : Natural Stuctures

19 July 2010 , 0900-1200

Today we were given 3 assignment which the 3th assignment we have to do it on spot. 3 Pics are given to us on the screen and few questions were given too. We are required to explain their positive shape and the spaces of the pictures.

Then , choose either one of the pictures and superimpose it outline for 40 times. The we have to describe the composition that we drawed.

The other assignment is we were required to snap 2 photos that around HBP then sketch it with dots n lines.





The 3th assignment, Mr. Wan Burhanuddin ask us to meet him at the Bamboo area near USM at 2pm. We were 1st assigned to sketch a tree in 1 min follow by a cow in less than 1 min then goat then people around us. The more things we need to sketch the shorter the time will be given.


Then we have to study the structure of the bamboo at there. Pics have to be taken so that it easier for us to study. After that, our assignment have to do it on the A2 board and decorate it. The story of the bamboo on the board should be related to the word JOINT. Either life joint , time joint , visual joint or others.

Furthermore , our own unique logo is designed and draw at the left bottom of the A2 board.
